Minerva McGonagall
McGonagall was the head of Gryffindor before and during Harry Potter's time. She was instantly recognized as the smartest Hogwarts student of her time. However, she is also the least lenient Head of House at Hogwarts, which vexes Harry to no end.

Girls and boys are across from each other. The Gryffindor dormitories are depicted as being located on the seventh floor of Hogwarts Castle.

The Gryffindor common room is decorated in red and has many windows that look out onto the school grounds. It has a large fireplace on one wall.

He was expelled from school, He is 11 feet, six inches tall. He attended Hogwarts School of Witcraft and Wizardry in 1940 and was sorted in Gryffindor. Hagrid’s main weakness is that he is horrible at keeping secrets.

Albus Dumbledore
Dumbledore was the master of the Elder Wand from 1945 until 1997. He is considered by many as the great Hogwarts Headmaster. He was killed by Severus Snap during the Battle of the Astronomy Tower. He was the Defence Against the Dark Arts professor then Transfiguration finally to Headmaster.

Remus Lupin
He was secretly a werewolf and was bitten by Fenrir Greyback. The attack took place just before his fifth birthday, and although Lyall burst in and saved his son from death, the attack left Remus as a werewolf himself. He was an uncle to Harry Potter.
House Animal
Gryffindor Lion: The lion was chosen because it represents traits that the founders valued in their students. The Gryffindors are known for their bravery and courage. They never back down from a fight or doing what they believe is right.
House History
Gryffindor is one of the four houses at Hogwarts School of Witcraft and Wizardry. It was founded by Godric Gryffindor, who instructed the Sorting Hat to choose students with characteristics he valued. Gryffindor corresponds roughly to the elements of fire. The house ghost was Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington, also known as “Nearly Headless Nick”. The emblematic animal was a lion, and its colors were scarlet, and gold and its house points were filled with rubies. The Gryffindor motto was “Forti Animo Estate”, which was displayed on a stained-glass window in the common room.

Female Uniform
Female Hogwarts students wear knee-length skirts and long gray socks with black dress shoes. They also wear a white button-up shirt, a vest with colors according to their house, robes, a tie, and a hat.

Male Uniform
The Hogwarts uniform consists of plain black robes, a white collared shirt, and a striped necktie. Each house has its own distinct color combination for its necktie. Gryffindor's colors are red and gold.

Quidditch
The Gryffindor Quidditch team's uniform was red and gold, like their house colors. The robes have a star underneath the numbers on the sleeves and back.
